Came across a StarFire Lap Steel on ebay with a single humbucker. Has anyone here had experience with this?

Link to auction on eBay.

There seem to be a lot of budget-priced lap steels becoming available lately. I think it's a good trend. It gives players a cheap introduction to lap steel until they feel it's something they want to pursue and commit to a more valuable instrument.

I prefer the design of this to the Artisan.

That's not a bad looking guitar. Interesting headstock, with three slots across instead of the usual two slots longitudal.
