There will be a seminar this coming Tuesday night in the International Steel Guitar Conference Center™ on the topic of using Band-In-A-Box. More and more people have turned to using this software for making tracks and recording…but don’t really know how to get the most out of it. The new band in a box software has a lot of “real” instruments as well as many more “midi” files. How you put them together to make really good tracks is something many folks have wanted to do for some time. George Wixon is an expert on this topic and will be there to demonstrate and answer questions. Chuck Campbell will also be on hand as the BIAB Dealer. You will hear actual recordings made with BIAB and you’ll get to ask, “how did you do that”. We will show you how to also add vocals to your tracks for those who want to “back a singer”. The seminar will start promptly at 8:00 PM eastern time. We look forward to seeing you there.

For what it may be worth, we have a Band In A Box Seminar each year at the Texas Steel Guitar Jamboree. That is the second weekend in March at the Sheraton Grand Hotel at DFW. Y'all come. |

Roy, that's something you may want to discuss with Scotty. Our organization has nothing to do with Scotty's. Thanks for your info Richard. I was not aware that BIAB was at the Texas show....but then we usually stay pretty busy down there with our own organization and booth...heck we might see you there this year.

You betcha Gary....I do the same thing here on my wifes stuff as well as much of mine. Once you know "how" to use all of the functions and understand midi a bit better...the whole world opens up. Now there will never be anything that replaces a live musician...but having produced an entire show using midi files and enhancements.....it's a bout as close as you'll ever get. The technology today is far better than it used to be and it's getting better by the day. I'll see ya Tuesday.

Some interesting observations here. I will make a post over on Steel On The Web so that this post doesn't take up space in an area otherwise used for announcements. There I will go over a few things that will help folks understand a little more about who we are and what we actually do at our site. The gentleman who went to one of our sites and all he heard was music simply went to the wrong site. The site you ended up at is a site that allows you to listen to pedal steel guitar music and that is it. Please look over at our new post later on today and I will see if I can be more informative.
