Just thought some of you Speedy West fans might be interested in this.

I just got the Vestapol DVD-13012 of 'Merle Travis Rare Performances 1946-1981' which has some great footage on several of the early tracks of very young Speedy West playing what looks like his Bigsby steel.

Jim,
Is that volume 2, 1996, with the red custom Guild on the cover?

Hi Darryl,

No, this one has a picture of Travis, and his Martin with the Bigsby neck, singing into a CBS mic. The picture was probably taken during one of the radio or television broadcasts. If you like Travis this is a great DVD with quite a few good shots of Speedy as a nice bonus.

If you Google the title you can get a good rundown on it. There are quite a few places that have it in stock.
