It's time to usher in the new year for the Louisville Metro Steel Guitar Club!

A little birdie just told me there were 44 people at the meeting/show. Way to go guys!
And you found out who is playing "Steel Guitar Rag" on the "Home Page". That "Mystery Man" just can't keep a secret.

Nice turnout considering the cold temps. It was a great show too. Wimpy, his friend Ronnie, Chet and Eli all raised the proverbial bar. I enjoyed it a lot 
Charlie Stepp's influence was evidenced by the 3 black D10 Derbys [had me seeing triple,] and along with Eli's PP Emmons all sounded different under each players hands, but all terrific. 3 Steel Kings and a Session 400. Hard to miss with all that talent and great gear. |

Hey Jerry, thanks for the kind words...it was a lot of fun! And those black Derbys sounded wonderful!
While my special guest from Nashville wasn't able to make it, Wimpy's friend Ronnie Sons did show up to play and he did a great job (and he didn't slouch around either, he jumped right in and did 'Crazy' and 'Watch what happens')! Now we just need to get him to ante up and join the club!

Oh yeah, the board also took a vote and decided to make Mr. Danny Hammers an honorary member of the club for his tireless dedication to the club. (That means you don't have to pony up the yearly dues, Danny!)

To all the members of the club
I want to thank you and the board so very much for the honor of making
me an honorary member of your club.
I enjoy helping your club with the web site or anything else that comes along
and I enjoyed fellowship at the Christmas party you all show me.
I was more than happy to pay the dues to belong to a
club where there are such wonderful members and friends.
But for you to do this is very humbling to me. And means so much.
If you or the other board members want to add or change
anything on the web site please let me know and again,
