I've got a friend thats moving to Savannah GA. He will be renovating a 4500 s/f night club. House Sound, Lights, 15x20 elevated stage. I am wondering what the music scene is like in Savanah. Any PSG players down that way? I'm just asking to pass the info to him, and any feedback is greatly appreciated.
I think he has more money then brains to go into an unknown city and open a night club, but he's going to do it, and I don't think he'll cut any corners.

Hey Jeff, I have a brother that plays Steel that lives close to Savannah. I'm sure he would be interested in meeting him. Jack would know all the in and outs of Savannah night life... Rich

Don't know too much about the whole scene, been a couple of years since I was there.Played a club there several times The Jinx[formerly] The Velvet Elvis.Wild and wooly place, but a lot of fun.One night we showed up,they had chicken wire around the band stand, keep the beer bottles out,But could'nt stand up to the six foot four bar tender named Whiskey Dick when he got snookered and decided he wanted to dive through it.And he did! Then he talked us into spending the night at his place to save us the motel bill.BIG MISTAKE,DYKBC.

I lived there. Country music scene is pretty slow.

I worked for two brothers. The Courtenay Brothers.

Thanks for all the replies and info. I passd it onto the owner "Mike Volen" and I think he'll name the club "The Savannah Distillery".
