And the CEO of TC is going to take over running Gibson, still safely in Europe... (?)
Gibson: Munched Again?

"This merger will revolutionize the music industry for many years to come," said Henry Juszkiewicz, Chairman and CEO of Gibson Guitar. "The synergy blah blah blah...."

Guess Gibson's "Guitar of the Week" promo wasn't enough to keep them out of the globo-dumps either.

(Warning: the Forbes site is happy on pop-ups pimping... FORBES!!! Guess even billionaires have to eat... Razz)

From the info I have read Gibson gets the electronic knowledge from TC. What does TC get? They do electronics not woodworking which is what guitar making is. Maybe Gibson sees the future as more in the electronic/tech realm than the traditional guitar making that has made them what they are for a long time.

Maybe there are tax advantages in the arrangement for Gibson. They are now a global corp.
