Every player who still thinks "JBL" means a 100-watt speaker needs to do a little reading, and note that the first D130's were 25-watt speakers; and the D130F cold handle 60 watts, maybe, on a good day. It's also fascinating how JBl was so scientific in their testing - test them until they blew up, then measure the wattage.
It was the marketing department that took the "continuous power" rating - which has nothing to do with practical music amplification - and used it to make the "100 watt" claims. Which resulted (and still results) in a nice recone business for those who handle JBL's. _________________ No chops, but great tone
