I have never been to any of the steel guitar conventions, but will definitely attend the Iowa show this year. I am wondering what to expect besides some great listening. Will there be any manufacturers showing their stuff? Are there any seminars to attend? Most importantly... Will Scotty sign one of his books if I bring it?
Finally, do I need to polish the magnetic strip on my MasterCard before I go? _________________ Bad wine is better than no wine. |

Tim- this being your first Steel Show, you are definately in for a treat!!! Ron Elliot is the featured player this year, and I might add,a fantastic player, and super nice guy. Ron will have a booth with his C D's for sale, ably managed by his Lovely Wife Leslie. Scotty's Music will have a booth also, Scotty & Mary usually bring about half the store from St. Louis, with bars, & picks, C D's, gadgets, and Instructional materials. My friend Bill Rudolph is usually there with his Williams Guitars, and will be glad to explain everything about these Excelent instruments to you. Michael Scott, and Miss Lana will be there with Steel Radio.com, also. Lefty Schrage and the gang will definately make you feel at home. For your first show, you could'nt have picked a better one. _________________ Dino |
