Ok guys and girls...Its not that I have better things to do here..but I am on holiday from work so I have sat in the studio nearly ALL day doing this one and forgetting all the jobs I have to do here around the house. Its taken me hours to edit the video (because I haven't got KAY WHITE here doing it for me..BUT I am very chuffed with my editing..(you will see some out of sync stuff occasionally but its the best I can do at the moment).. I usually play this one at my gigs on the B"*jo.. ! But we wont mention that here on this forum... I think I remember Doug J. playing this on stage in Dallas 2006 about 100 times faster than me but its the best I can do at the moment..Hope you like it, I am quite pleased with it.. Many thanks again for all your nice comments and emails.. I have 4 more days off work but am going to do something else for a few days now as I am probably sending TOO much to YouTube and the forum, and I do have a lot of PROPER jobs to do around here.. Regards to you all, its 12.30 in the morning here and about 6.30 pm in Texas and USA.. So here it is..

I say once again, Dave, damn you're a hot picker! I think it is great that the psg and good steel music are universal. It's no longer just an American thing. My hat is off to you my friend!

As a veteran bluegrasser who had placed that on the permanent "only played when request written on a $50 bill" list...

...I was stunned. Heck, I might even mess around with it myself. That was inspiring...and (in a good way) really, really sick!

Whoa!

David

Damn that's good.

David you know that you have summoned yourself to go to the Dallas show now. Your picking has started something.
By the way, I was listening to your Rocky Top and Orange blossom special videos and my mother happened to pass by and asked who was tht playing. I told her it was you. UK Dave. She said that she liked the way you play and she's never said that about anyone. Your playing caught her ears and she doesn't play anything but a piano.

Just wanted to share that.

Keep up the good work

Very Happy Bob; were is Candor, N.Y.? I should know, being a retired P.M. from Hastings, N.Y.
But I'm making you an offer; I see you want to sell all your gear; I'll make a final offer of $ 200.00[ two hundred dollars ] cash on the barrel head. That's for every thing. I see a post of yours a short time back where you had filled in for some band in the Syracuse area. Correct?
Possibly UK Dave would come up there and teach you a few chords on his " RAINS". What a fabulous sound he puts out.. Cheers, Bob..Bernie Rolling Eyes Laughing Very Happy

Well Bernie, If David was around and I was playing, I'd run out the back door.. The guy scares me he's so good..

But be on notice David!!!.. we're all watching... One of these clips you're gonna hit a wrong note, and BAM!!! we'll all be there pointing fingers and laughing... c'mon just ONE little mistake... ok???.. Just kidding David, you are a monster!!!

Bernie, the $200 is a fair offer, but I doubt that everything I own is even worth that much.. i'd be taking advantage of a nice guy..

Yes been playing Syracuse more these days.. playing in Baldwinsville this coming weeked.. 12th??... Custom Taylor Band .. One of the best modern country bands in NY state.. no question about it.. These boys are HOT!!!!

Candor NY is 20 miles south of Ithaca... I live 1/2 hour from Ithaca, maybe 40 minutes from Binghamton... bob

That is awesome, reminds me of my late friend Jimmie Crawford's style of picking, and of course Russ Hicks.
