... for Father's Day

and all of you "one-compartment-case-owners" and you know who you are know how easy it is to scratch up your equipment unpacking & packing up all week.

And, for the MB200 owners with custom made cabinets:

Pretty neat. I can't get the SO legs into that vinyl pouch very well, need to come up with something different.

That's a good idea. BTW, I really enjoyed meeting and hearing you play the other night out in Oracle,AZ. That little steel sounds sweet and lacks nothing tonewise. I also was amazed at that amp rig you put together. It sounded huge and was the lightest giggable steel amp I've ever picked up. Did you seal up the speaker section or is it open back? I looked up that amp head and there may be one in my future once I get back in the chips. What speaker were you using in that thing?

Hey Michael,

It was great meeting you also! I wish I would have known earlier that you were in town.

Here's the thread about the MB200 amp, speaker boxes, and speakers that myself and others have used, and yes, that little Stage One is a booger!

Good to hear that things are moving in a positive direction after all you've been through lately! I'll be doing out-of-town gigs for the next few weeks, but if you'll be around any longer, maybe we can meet up again. Let me know!

Just wanted to tell you again just how good you guys sounded up in Oracle the other night!

Michael J., it was good to meet you also. Glad you could get to explore our area a little more.

Steve,
I've been putting a piece of 1/4" plywood on top of the guitar in the case, then put the leg pouch and pedal bar on top of that. Works great. Pretty darn classy, too..... Smile ! Actually if you cover it it's pretty nice. You would probably be surprised at how much more they charge for a divided case. I know I was.

My steel sits in a road case that houses the guitar only, so rather than carry the leg bag and pedal board in a separate hard case I came up with this method which may or may not be helpful in solving Allan's problem as well. On a section of 1/4" plywood I mounted eight clips, (the type used to secure broom handles to walls, available at Lowe's or Home Depot). Staggering the clips and placing the adjoining legs so that the clutches are at opposite ends should provide ample room. The clips were mounted four on each side with the pedalboard and rods to go into the center. I then fastened two short sections of wood dowel to the plywood onto which the pedal board was secured utilizing the pedal board clamps, thus eliminating any possibility of movement. The rods I place in a narrow cloth bag underneath the pedals. This rig then fits neatly into a 'Martin Backpacker' gig bag, but with planning, should fit inside the Stage One case as well.
NOTE: May be advisable to mount one clip and check for clearance to be certain that the case lid will close properly before proceeding....Hope this information proves useful.
