I just found this LP at a local record store. Buck Reid plays some fabulous steel on this album. It's up front, tasty and full of nice tone. He has a very refreshing sound and approach. Anybody else familiar with this album?

Buck's last name is spelled "Reed" on the back cover.

Buy Buck's most recent CD. It's a work of art.

Chris, thanks for mentioning this record. It was my very first recording session in Nashville after joining John's band a few months earlier. I was so nervous and happy at the same time ... they could have spelled my name any way they wanted to. Smile

Pleasure to hear from you, Buck. I am really enjoying your playing on this album. It's hard to believe it was your first Nashville session.

Do you remember what guitar you used on this album? It sounds like an Emmons.

Also, can you let me know where I can purchase a copy of your latest CD. Thanks....

Yes Chris it was an Emmons Legrande with a short keyhead. I ran it thru an Ibanez UE-405 for a little delay, into a Peavey session 500. Pretty crude by today's standards but that's all I had at the time. You can go to: www.BuckReid.com to get info about my latest CD. Thanks again!

Thanks, Buck...I'll be ordering it.

And by the way, the setup you described does not sound crude to me at all. A friend of mine has a SKH Legrande and it sounds incredible through my Session 400 - pretty much the pinnacle of steel tone right there.

Thanks again for posting and I look forward to hearing your CD!
