I'll sell it for what I've got in it, $750.00, and that includes shipping in USA. If you've got something to trade I'll try to work something out with you. I would be interested in lap steels, banjos, mandolins, guitars, fiddles, etc. Send me an email or PM.
I'm in a quandry. I've got old eyes, had cataracts removed last spring but I'm not comfortable playing this guitar. Maybe if it was the only one I had I could get used to the fingerboard but the offset position markers, thin frets, gloss finish, and drop-dead gorgeous wood are just a bit too much for me. This guitar should be played and not hung on the wall as an art object. I'm used to a matte black with white fret lines, or dull wood with real frets and this guitar is just too much of a contrast for me. I could make a paper overlay and tape it to the fingerboard but I just can't cover up that pretty wood. So, I've decided to offer it to the forum members. Here's the link to Tom's original post with pictures.

Offer what it's worth to you, I won't be offended. If you want to know what I paid for it send me an email or PM.

That sure is a beautiful steel. Have you found a home for it yet? If not, it deserves a bump.
I have always admired the workmanship on this steel.
Good luck! |

The "Pettingill" is on it's way to Canada tomorrow morning. Thanks much everyone that's inquired about it, I've enjoyed talking with you.
