I replaced 4 legs on my 74 MSA Classic and they were
about 1 1/2 to 2 inches shorter than normal which
may have been changed before I got it.
But I jumped on it and cut 1 1/2 inches off
which left about 1/2 of dowel left in the legs so
I had a hard time gettin these out.
The best is measure and the new legs may be right.
If not get a long rod and stick thru the bottom of
the leg and knock the threaded insert out and then
you can cut off what you want and re-install the
insert. Put a nut of the threads before you hit it. |
