After I had watched David Hartley's brilliant "Ballad Of Jed Clampett" I searched youtube for an Earl Scruggs version. (As well as steel I also love that ringin' b@njer ~ sorry b0b Razz )

Here's what I found >

Who is the "Dobro Gal" in this video ? (not my description ~ she has "Dobro Gal" written on the fretboard.)

Also ~ does anyone know if she does dobro lessons in my area ?

Confused

Dobro Gal is Jennifer Kennedy Meredith (the "Meredith" was added on when she married a couple years ago).

She lives in Kentucky and has been playing with Earl for 3-4 years now.

Jennifer pops in with a post in the Jerry Douglas Bulletin Board/Forum now and then.

Well, I'm sure Jennifer would love to take a trip to Edinburgh - just keep it to dobro, Jim!Wink

She really enjoyed her visits to San Francisco two of the last three years for the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival with Earl and company.

And this past October, in her set with Earl, I could tell that she has brought her playing up to a new level.
