Hi-
I have a U.K. club tour to play (w/Teddy Thompson) from the 17th through the 28th, and management is balking at shipping my steel. It's an old Sho-Bud ProIII Custom, so it's really heavy- probably 100 lbs in a Cushcase. John Widgren suggested I post here, so here goes...
Can anyone in the London area rent me a steel? What I need is an E9th with 4 knees (no C6th needed) and a straight Emmons copedant setup. There would be no flying involved, so no flight case is needed. And I'm sure the tour can pay a decent rental fee, anything will be cheaper than Rock-It Cargo! |

I'm in Edinburgh, Scotland - is that no use? I could get my steel to you for the glasgow gig, if that's not too late in the tour, and you could ship it back at tour's end.
It's a Carter D-10, 8&6 (i.e. it has the knees you want on the E9th neck).
If you get desperate and that'd be any use just let me know.
Saw you play in Glasgow some years back with Loudon W, by the way: good gig! |

Thanks, but it would be too late. Looks like we're going to ship my steel via Fedex after all. |

If you have an address in London I could get it to you for the tour's start? Or ship it to 1st venue..?
Just a thought. If not, good luck with tour and with shipping your own guitar. |
