Great photo George. What a nice statement to make that here nearly 50 years later you are still "steelin". I wish everyone who has old black and white band photos from the 50's would post them. Especially when they have Stringmasters in them!!!

I'm laughing. I knew if nothing else, somebody would mention the "cool hats"!!!!! Thanks for your comments guys. What's neat about that picture also is that the show was recorded on a Brennell reel to reel tape machine. The company was Cossor Canada Ltd in Halifax, and later became EMI-Cossor. We were known as the Cossor Band!!! Geo |

Hey Keoki, I still have hair, my wife just gives me the buzzzzzzzzz!!!!
Yes Roy, both guitars are living. Bill Fay is the chap to my left playing his Ricki which he does to this day. The Ricki that I'm playing, I bought at a pawn shop in Halifax in 1952 with a matching Gaylord amp for $35 (lot of $ then for a kid). I sold it in 1962 to a chap I worked with in Montreal. In 1982, just by chance I met that chap on a street in Toronto and out of curiosity, I asked whatever happened to that guitar. I couldn't believe his answer, "That's right, it was you who sold that to me, well I just dug it out of the attic for a garage sale this weekend". He GAVE it back to me apologizing that the amplifier had disappeared in the 20 years. Happiness was getting my rickety Rickenbacker back!!!! It's hanging here on the wall of my music room.
