I would like to extract some of Don Fullmer's Hawaiian music from a recording I made at last year's Joliet convention. The recording is on a DVD and I would like to convert to an MP3 file. Does anyone know how to convert this so that I can submit it to Gerald Ross to post on the HSGA web site for members audio? I tried to convert them in itunes but couldn't get it to work. Any help would be appreciated.

Andy,

DVD or CD? Software like "Streambox Ripper" will automatically rip it from a CD and change to your choice of three different formats: .wav, .mp3, or .wma

Audiograbber is an excellent program. You can rip CDs, tapes or records to MP3. The best part is that it's FREE. Do a Google search and find a download site.

Super Sound Recorder software will record as wav or MP3 anything that your computer plays so simply play your DVD in your computer, set to 'Record Master', click on record and you will have your MP3.

If your computer plays ANY sound, no matter what the source, then you can record it with SSR. If you can hear it then SSR can record it.

I think it costs about $10

Musicmatch will also record anything you hear and convert it to mp3.
