There's probably an archive about this some where but I thought I would ask this for comments. Between the new Peavey Session 115, the Evans 15 inch speaker amp, and the Milkman Half and Half, how do they rate with you experienced steelers? _________________ Sho Bud Super Pro, Fender Twin Reissue, Martin HD-28, Gibson J-45, Gibson RB-250,Stelling Bellflower,Regal Dobro, Takamine and Alvarez Classical, Fender Telecaster, Peavey Studio Pro 112. I've played all three and owned two of them. I've had significant time with the session 115 and the Milkman Half and Half. In my opinion, all factors considered, the Half and Half is the superior amp. It's SUPER light and sounds fantastic. The Session 115 sounds great too but it's just a different sound. I prefer the tube amp sound and the Half and Half provides that. _________________ CP in Nashville

The Session 115 and Evans 300 series are about the same. The Milkman may be some higher than Session depending on street price versus MRP. Session may be easier to get, I think. Probably more dealers. Erv you got me wondering now. I don't remember Milkman price. _________________ Sho Bud Super Pro, Fender Twin Reissue, Martin HD-28, Gibson J-45, Gibson RB-250,Stelling Bellflower,Regal Dobro, Takamine and Alvarez Classical, Fender Telecaster, Peavey Studio Pro 112. Kind of an apples to oranges comparison. The Milkman has a tube preamp and a class D power amp, very different than the other two. |
