It's that time of year again (already!) when we have our annual Christmas get together at Russell's Shed on highway 44W just outside the gleaming metropolis of Sheperdsville, KY.

We have a pot-luck and an open stage for all members of the club so bring your steel and something good to eat.

We start this one around 1pm to give everyone a chance to grab something to eat before we start playing. We go until 5pm.

This is usually a fun time for everyone and we hope to cover the stage with wall-to-wall steels again this year!

Let me know if you have any questions, Eli

We missed you Eli. Trust everything is OK.
We had a very nice time. Lots of good food, fellowship and steel guitar music. As many as 7 or 8 steels over the 3 hours of pickin'.

We had some special guests as well, including former Kentuckian and forumite, Danny Hammers [nice meeting you Danny].
Also a young man named Trevor up from Nashville [whose last name escapes me]who tells me he is playing some nights on the lower Broad strip. He sat up with the rest of us and had everyone's attention as he played on our selections, plus his own favorites and a particularly rousing rendition of Rocky Top.

A genuinely nice young man who has a very bright future and I hope he continues to include the steel guitar in it!

Hey Jerry, Looks like I picked the wrong weekend to get a cold...Sorry I missed everything - I wish I had been there. The open stage and the pot luck this time of year is one of my favorite things about the club. Plus to miss out on a young talent from Nashtownville...Oh well.

Thanks for the post. Glad everyone had fun today.

Eli

Hey Guys
Thanks for all the fun and fellowship. (and the food)
and thanks Eli and Bob for the invitation. Enjoyed seeing a lot of old friends and meeting new ones. But I miss Joe C.

Jerry, I have never been a special guest before. Thats neat. Nice meeting you to, that was some gooood playing

Charlie and Margit, thanks for everything, you all are the greatest.

Eli, hope your feeling better

Got back home to Florida at 10am the next morning, that seem to be the longest drive. Stop in Nashville to check on Don and Hazel, which were doing ok. Hazel is still sore from her fractured hip.

Love ya'll
Danny

Hello Danny
We sure enjoyed having you with us at the club.
I think if you can make our July meeting it will be somewhat warmer.
Bob.
