I wonder how many folks from the Chicago area have written country songs about or involving Chicago and had releases on them? I have heard a number of songs that somehow used the city as a setting (Haggard's "Streets of Chicago" comes to mind), but most have been come from writers "outside the area". I guess that's not too surprising, considereing that there aren't a lot of city folk writing country songs about the city Very Happy .

I guess "Georgia Hard" by Robbie Fulks would be a good example of what I'm thinking about.
