We will have several door prizes and goodies since it's our "Christmas Jam". Most are there by 5 PM anyway so it shouldn't be too much of an issue. By starting a half hour early at 5 PM for December ONLY, we can have our "Christmas Activities" and then start the jam on time and not be interrupted by a prolonged break in the jam for the Cake as we had last year. |

The "Monthly Licks" page has been established on our club's web site. I put up one lick by Don Sulesky and one by me to start the page. We hope to have licks submitted by club members for the "lick of the month" to be published on the page.

I had an inquiry about the licks page and the type of licks. It's open to pedal and non-pedal licks. If you submit a non-pedal lick be sure to include what tuning it's for. |

Another point if I may.
Try to keep them short and to the point as space can be a problem. We want licks, not songs.
Thanks/Don |

Thanks, Jim, for the donation. That is very nice.
I have a "Bullet Bar" purchased from Jim several years ago. It is very comfortable and I use it every day.

Jim contacted me a week ago and asked if he could donate one of his wonderful bars which I have 3 of and use extensively.
I will have his info with me at the meeting if anyone would like to purchase one of his "made to order" SS or chrome bars.
Thanks Jim

I want to wish all the members a safe and happy holiday season.
I will unfortunatly be MIA again this month.
I have to start chemo this week so my schedual is a bit scattered for the time being. My diagagnosis is not uncommon but still needs my full attention. Also the outcome is positive. (so anyone looking to get my parking space at Johnnys will have to wait a bit longer) I am looking forward to seeing you all in Jan. So enjoy the party and pick well.

Jack, you are missed, everyone asks about you. I hope whatever it is gets taken care of. As I had 6 months of chemo at the New Hope Cancer Center in Spring Hill, I can feel for what you are going through.
"We'll save your spot".
Merry Christmas and Happy New year. |

I think this was the best meeting we ever had. Every one had a good time, the crowd was most receptive. the players all played their hearts out, and much improvement by all. Good fellow ship and was nice seeing most of the ones who come down for the winter
season . There is one in perticular that made my day, it means so much when the crowd gets into the act.

I do agree with Ernie that this was one of the best if not the best Jam we have had so far.
The band members were absolutley on top of their game last night as were the pickers.
We had Bernie Waldon & John King on bass; Karl Congdon,Tony Sellman & George Basley on drums: Ken McWilliams & Lee Holloway on Lead and rhythm guitar. Thanks guys we can't do it with out you.
See you next year.

I too thought it was a good jam. Some don't like the lead guitar but I think it adds to the jams. We are very fortunate to have a live band rather than having to jam with BIAB tracks or some other tracks.
Ernie said the "crowd was into it" - we had a group in the audience that was "too much into it" and unfortunately we had to "make" them leave after they were asked nicely by Don and they ignored him. Catfish Johnny said he had problems with that group in the restaurant too as they apparently had been to "happy hour" somewhere before coming to the Restaurant. Actually, having them there made me feel like it was 20 years ago in a "Honky Tonk".
Jack D and Tom Murphy are both missed. Tom's wife is undergoing what Jack is going through too.
I hope everyone enjoyed the club Coffee mugs. Whatever is left will be on sale at the January club meeting. |

I was referring to the regulars that come to all the meetings, they enjoyed this meet more than any in the past. Jack is right about the others they were very roudy and loud to the point of removable.

Ernie, yes everyone was enjoying the jam. I had to kid about being "in to it".
And to everyone, send me licks. |
