this song features some of my favorite steel playing, courtesy of Russ Hicks. who would have thought it would be put to such literal and constructive use? also features Pete Wade on guitar and Buddy Spicher on fiddle.

Scott,
Russ is an awesome picker! I have that album by Ween and listen to it frequently, his work on the album is superb.
I did make a copy of it for home use without Mr. Richard Smoker, and P--- Up A Rope though. Mrs. D just isn't ready for Ween. _________________ John Drury

Ween is a great bunch of guys I'm sure Russ would agree. and he really played great on '12 Golden Country Greats' (the 10-song album they released in '96. 12 refers to the number of session greats they employed, not including the Jordanaires)
I did hear (from Russ actually) that one of the local stations in nashville was heard praying for ween on the air!
Stu Basore went on to do the country tour w Ween in Oct. 96... he appears on 2 live albums: 'Paintin' the Town Brown' and 'Live in Toronto' as well as their 2000 studio record 'White Pepper'... great stuff! _________________ 1965 Emmons S-10, 3x5 • Emmons LLIII D-10, 10x12 • JCH D-10, 10x12 • Beard MA-8 • Oahu Tonemaster |
