In the late 70's I took some lessons from George. He had a D-10 Sho-Bud that had a 24.5 inch or maybe a 25 inch scale. The best I recall it was dark green in color and a tone to die for. I've often wondered what happened to that guitar. He said he had problems keeping a 3rd string on it. Bobbe must know about this guitar???? Thanks

Clyde,

That guitar was kind of a Tobacco colored D-10 Super Pro built to his specs while he worked at Sho~Bud. The color wasn't exactly standard, it was a color he mixed himself making it a one off Bud. I think he told me the scale length was 24 1/4", not real sure about that.

He sold it to a player somewhere in PA about 1985. That was a great sounding Bud!

His next axe was a short keyhead LeGrande, actually two of them, he kept one set up for students.

Thanks guys. I couldn't remember the color but I knew it wasn't your average Bud. George could really get a wonderful tone out of it but he had a lot of talent. He is also a super nice person.
