Dear Mr Anderson, I was wondering if you could tell me anything about a( MSA SS,Classic 55, D10. )Im so sorry I dont have much Info,Serial No or anything.
Theres one here in town in a music store. Ive only seen it through the window for now. Could it be a 25" scale ? It is a 8x3, is that a factory standard for them? It looks to be a Mahogany color with SS pick ups. Its in fair shape so far as I can see. Would love to know the year they were made
Thanks _________________ steelguitarguy.com |

Richard....The Classic SS is a sought after guitar for a lot of players. It is lighweight, 24 inch scale, and has the triple raise and triple lower system.
Its doubtful the guitar left the factory with 8 and 3, it would likely have had 8 and 4. We made relatively few of those in comparison to other models. Without extensive record searching I cannot say when we first started building the Classic SS, but we made them for a few years.
Were you to acquire the serial number, perhaps I could provide you more information. |

Hey Dick
the guitar you are talking about belong to Frank ?
Edegington i think was his last name... The guitar has been hacked over so bad it would cost more to put it back then its worth.. i think there asking like $1800 for it about $800 more then i would go if i were to by it... Take a look under the guitar and you will see it has been bad abused... I think dick is trying to sale it for his wife, but she's asking to much for the shape it is in... The pickups are also cracked and torn up !
also the changer is so dry, from no lube, if you hit the pedals they will not return back up....
if a guy could buy it at a cheap price and then spend a bunch on it to get it back playable it might not be to bad. One of my students was asking about it the other day, and i told him the same thing im telling you... I remember frank buying the guitar in about late 70s early 80s and it never was in a case when he played out!... hope this has been some help, and call me sometime...
