There is one in R.I. , quite a few Mass players have joined. Go on WWW.RISGA.com for info and there is another R.I. group just starting up . I don't have all that info yet !! Pickers getting together monthly and jamming ; all levels of ability and help available. Eddie "C"

The only consistent organzed event in Mass, since th eending of Bill Hanky's Jam, is Frank Caruso's show in Waltham, MA....not to be missed!
Unfortunately it is only once per year and it was just held in October.
I strongly suggest you look into starting a Massachusetts club!

I happen to be a part of Frank Caruso's show.(Staff Bass Player). It is held every October. I have joined the Rhode Island Steel Guitar Association. It's a fine club, with great people. They have meetings with jam sessions after and they have a yearly show also. And it not that far from Boston.

The RISGA Show is a great show, put on by great people. As is, Frank Caruso's show in Waltham, Mass.
I have been honored to have played both these shows and had a wonderful appreciative time at both. Look for their posts as to when they are held, and don't miss either one.

John K.,

Yes! Haven't you heard of the "MASSBASH" from Frank or Chris Caruso? 25 shows presented here over a period of 23 years in Western Massachusetts, (Lee, Cheshire, Lenox, Hinsdale, Lanesboro, Becket, and Pittsfield), have enjoyed great successes in the past. Buzz Evans, Bobbe Seymour, J.D.Walters, Peggy Green, Smiley Roberts, Jim Cohen, and dozens of excellent players have come to visit and play at the MASSBASHES. Not a day goes by without a vivid recall of the players and their generous support. Many situations have changed since our first show in the fall of 1981. Club owners come and go, but one thing is constant here in The Berkshires, and that is, the desire to see and hear performances by steel guitarists. There has been a great restoration of the arts here in Berkshire County of late. I would enjoy including steel guitar artistry in the plans of an agendum for public entertainment, yearly, here in the Berkshires.
