Experiment by playing with the band and having somebody else tell you when are at the right volume. Once it is right for the band adjust your headphone mix to suit yourself. If you don't have your own mix then you can try playing with one earphone off to the side while placing your amp so the uncovered ear can hear it well. In any case start by finding the right stage volume then do whatever you need to do to play like that. You can also get one of those "more me" boxes.
