If you have the Williams U12 or S10 wide body can you tell me how wide the body is on the changer side.

Brad, thanks. I would think the 12 string uses the same body based on the pictures I've seen.

Does any one know the width of the 12 string body? If it's the same as Brad's that's only 1/4" wider than my U12. Not what I would call a wide body. I was thinking it may be 2 or 3 inches wider. Is the wide leg stance why it's called a wide body?

Hey Bob, It is a compromise deal, less wide than a D-10, more wide than an S-10. The leg stance is the same as a D-10 so you have the same stability as the D-10 but with less weight than the D-10...I like the concept and it is the best of both worlds, IMHO. I have mine now for 4 months and have not broken any strings...it has a great changer design and Bill Rudolph holds the patent on it. When changing strings you do not have to hold the ball end on a pin, you just thread it through the hole..what a great idea....can't tell you about the 12 stringer...give Bill a call.

Hey Bob, if you go 2 to 3 inches wider than 8 and 1/4, you will be in the D-10 range...my D-10 Mullen is 10 and 7/16 inches wide.

When I think of a "wide body" single neck steel, I think of a Zum ...They are a bigger bodied steel , and I think that is a really big part of the tone...Jim
