Nancy and I just returned from a wonderful evening hearing the Windy City Islanders featuring fellow forum member Craig Stenseth on steel guitar. Their music runs the gamet from Israel Kamakawiwo'ole to Jimmy Buffet with many fine original songs included. As my non musician wife pointed out, all the material is uplifting and a real joy to hear. They have a new CD out that I think you will enjoy.

Thanks for the kind words, Ron. I should add that our CD doesn't feature any lap steel (unfortunately), I'm working on it.

The Tiki Terrace http://thetikiterrace.com was a really fun place to play, great menu, decor, and drinks. Just minutes away from Joliet. Several minutes.
