Some years ago I got a nice Fender Dual Professional lap-steel guitar from the 50-s because I would like to learn to play western-swing and old time country. I really like the sound of this guitar but it turns out, that the instrument is too heavy for me to carry around, since I have problems with my back.

Instead of selling it on ebay, I first would like to know, whether somebody would like to trade a single-neck lapsteel of similar quality with my guitar? Maybe a Fender Deluxe?

I don't know, whether double-necks are more expensive than single-necks. Maybe the experts in this forum can provide some advice? Thank you.

Pictures of my guitar can been found here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/22554359@N00/sets/72157602215527039/

Casper, I sold one just like yours 6 years ago for $750.00 and I feel like I sold it too cheap. Yours should sell for around $1200 is my guess. And, yes,a double neck is more expensive.

Good luck.

Thank you for the information. So if somebody would like to trade a single neck lap, we could agree that he/she would pay shipping cost for both guitars, since double necks are more expensive?

Hi everybody

Thank you for all your offers and advice. Some private messages I got, made me rethink.

I think I rather keep my Fender as an istrument to practice at home and get another single neck instrument to carry around.

Thank you for your help. Best regards.

Good decision. That's a pretty cool instrument.
