Is a Peavey 1505-8KA considered a good application for a steel guitar amp? I have a couple in some PA cabinets. Just wondered. |

Was that a dumb question...? I noticed one selling in the amp & acc. section. So, I assume the answer is yes. Thanks a lot. |

Not really. The 1505-8KA speaker is best suited for a two-way speaker such as the Peavey SP-2 series. The cone material is impregnated with KEVLAR, which is what bullet-proof vests are made with. The KEVLAR "maintains" better when the speaker moves in and out. The 1501-4 is what we recomend for steel guitar applications. It can be purchased through your local authorized Peavey dealer or direct from our factory parts department by phoning toll free at 1-877-732-8391, ext. 1186.
By the way, the 1501-4 retrofits all BW magnets beginning with the Super Structure line which was introduced in the early '80's. If you are not aware of our patented replaceable speaker baskets, give me a call at ext. 1180 and I will inform you.
