Is this a hardware store item or what? I don't recall every seeing any locally. What's it actually called in case they come up on eBay again?

Gary, those were originally made for carburator linkage I believe as that's what the older cars used and maybe the new ones still do. You'd probably be able to find them at a good auto parts store....JH in Va. _________________ Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!! |

I just bought two at our local Napa auto parts store, about $3.00 bucks apiece.
They come in an assortment of sizes, so if your going to the auto parts store take an old one with you. [any way that's the best thing to do here in Kingman Az.]

Gary, you might try the auto parts stores. I am sure I saw these on the older carbeurator linkages. Also, I am sure I saw them on the linkage in the Cat loaders, bulldozers etc from my days operating those monstrosities. |

Gary, right part type, but wrong size! Their smallest quick release appears to be 1/4 24. Depending on your guitar, you'll need either a 10 or an 8, not a 1/4"er. |
