The Melobar has been moved to ebay . The "Buy It Now" price is only $249.95 with $14.95 shipping. You will find it here-http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230193437206
The Melobar was sold on ebay to a non forum person but I'll send a donation to b0b along with a string order.

Melobar six-string lap steel for sale. It's marked LS65795 on the nut. The pots and cap have been replaced and the action set up. It has the usual honorable scars of a veteran, minor dings and rub marks.

I have one of these that I bought several years ago. They are great players and very compact. I take mine on business trips to pass the time at night. I had to replace the ferrules and the tuners on mine, but I love it. Good luck.

Let's run it down the page again with a sweeter price.

The Paul Barth pickup is great. I have one just like it and I play it a lot. It is very easy to play and has a fine tone. They are sleepers, few knowing anything about them. These with the Paul Barth pickup date to the early 70's. The vintage Rickenbacker guitars with the same pickup are in demand.
