Over on the Ukulele Cosmos forum someone posted a uke/toy piano tune called "Cheyenne". It reminded me of Hank Marvin and the Shadows 1960 "surf guitar" hit 'Apache'. Apache topped the UK singles chart for five weeks that year.

Still a very cool song. Cool

This one started out as a steel guitar tune - after an hour I gave up. Sorry. Crying or Very sad

Of course I rearranged it as a ukulele/guitar duet - I recorded this one with my Talsma tenor uke and the guitar I saved my pennies for when I was in High School (I still have it) - my 1971 Martin D-18.

Click on the Ukuele tunes page.

It's a home run. Great memories for me........being a surfer from California in the 60s.

Super tasteful and mellow.

Thanks all.

I remixed and reposted.

The years have shaved a bit of high-end off my hearing. I frequently tend to boost the treble too much to compensate.

I knocked the treble back a bit on the uke as well as the entire mix.

Hi Gerald,
I like your arrangement-very musical. I grew up listening to the Ventures, so this tune really brings back some memories.

Pretty unique approach to this song, I like it. I remember it from a Jorgan Ingman (sp) recording, one of my favorites.
