Jean Guy Grenier is , as far as i know, in demand as a session player round Quebec
i backed up Chantal Hamel when she came over here a few years back
all the steel on the sides she gave me to learn had Jean Guy on them
i'll agree ! he's quite a picker Mr. Green

Jean Guy Grenier is probably the best known steel player in Quebec. He was in our town to do a show with Patrick Normand last year but unfortunately I was working and I didn't get to see the performance. Apparently he's just an amazing multi-instrumentalist.
He's not paralyzed with a Telecaster either. Check this out:

Not trying to hijack this thread but many many years ago I played with a steel player up in Montreal PQ named Ron Dann. This thread got me to wondering what in the world happened to him. Is he still around those parts? Anyone know of him? We both did some work for Jesse Winchester. Ron was a pretty nice guy.

Jean-Guy Grenier is an amazing musician.

He is a very busy session player in Montréal, Québec.

I never met him but I have admired his talent watching the Television Show ''Country Centre-Ville'' on Radio-Canada.

I have seen him smoke on pedal steel, guitar, dobro and banjo.
