What is a Fender 400 worth ?? it need parts and put back together, it is a D 8.

Ernest C-If the guitar is a D-8 then it is a Fender 1000 not a 400 Some of the value will depend on originality-my experience with them is that the later models (usually 3-color sunburst finish) with the black pedals and cam type changer bridge are more desireable playability wise (especially with regard to string breakage) than the earlier models with the chrome pedals and separate roller bridge/changer-PW

I have not seen it, if I can buy for $400.00 will that be a good buy. I want to use it as a lap top not pedals.
