Hi. I bought a Mosrite built Melobar and would like to get some info.

I`ve seen a -65 with serial #022 on the net.
Mine is #120 - anyone knows when it`s built?

Also if you take a closer look at the bridge one the one I found on the net it has an insert over the bridge. Where can I find or have built a insert like this?

The reason for the insert is that the string grooves original where uneven, I guess.

I think these Melobars where built with "uneven string spacing" for a tuning that had a bass string as the 6th string. I might be wrong, tho`.

Any help and info greatly appreciated.

That's rare beauty. I'm jealous.

We are busy working on our new Rattler, Teleratt, and double neck Melobar, but I hope to be selling replacement nuts and bridges for older models. Our replacement bridge uses phenolic embedded with a small brass post under each string slot. My best guess is we will have something in January. I will keep you posted.

Thanks,
