I made a point of reminding myself from previous post to watch "How it's made" on U.K. television yesterday afternoon at 1.pm on the discovery channel. Although the segment of Eddie Fulawka building one of his steels was short, it was very informative, and the narrator stressed that it was a difficult instrument to play, using both hands, feet and knees. This dispells what some know/all guys in Club audiences have often said to me....."That must be an "EASY" instrument to play...you just slide a bar" Smile ....takes all sorts don't it Smile

CMT ran an hour special a few years ago on the pedal steel and they went to the Mullen shop. I wonder if that's available anywhere? That was very good also.

So that's how Ed does it. From the looks of the clip it seems much easier to play one of these things than actually build one. I sure am one happy Fulawka owner.
