I just visited Fran Newman's site. Figured I'd glance through some of Jeff's Articles. Well, the three I have listed here, I couldn't simply glance over. Then it hit me, that many of the questions some of the new/er players have, these hold the true answers to..

Take your time, and really read these three.

I hope this helps answer some of the important questions you might have.... Don

Don,

Thank you for pointing this information out to those of us that are new to the forum or soon to be playing for the first time. I don't even have a pedal steel yet and
information like this is extremely valuable.
My attitude in life, and concerning my beginning "relationship" with my favorite instrument, the pedal steel, is to absorb every bit of information from those
that have been there as to make my journey of learning
a smoother and more productive experience. For those of you that share even the smallest bit of information about learning, pedal steel mechanics, tuning etc., can't possibly realize the needed help you are freely
giving people like myself who love the pedal steel and
will soon start on the road to playing. Thank you Jeffran, thank you Don, and, everyone else on the forum for the kindness shown in sharing the knowledge you each contribute to those who are eager to learn.

Dan
