I've ordered a couple kneelever kits from them. It took a while, but I got them. They're still working, but good luck trying to get them on the phone... _________________ www.joshturner.com

He called be back immediately, and the item is already on its way.

I called Rebecca Lashley when I needed the wiring diagram and she faxed it the next day. I think alot of Ron and Rebecca, they are still there are still producing a good guitar. _________________ BMI S12 Zane Beck's Tuning

Ron is fighting thru a herniated disc in his back and putting in a lot of hours on the job when he can stand the pain. He has worked only half days for a few weeks and is doing some better. Rebecca was also sick for a few days. They do not have a large operation and they personally do most of the work. I love the Emmons guitars and wish them nothing but the best.

I feel the same way. Ron, Rebecca and the rest of the crew have always been very helpful and quick to respond!

I also love the Emmons' and couldn't think of anything else I'd rather play. I wish them all the best. Maybe I just called on a bad week. I've always had good luck getting parts from them. _________________ www.joshturner.com

Sorry to say this:
My tech has been calling and mailing Emmons for nut rollers since at least mid summer this year.
So far no rollers, and if I understand correctly, no reply either.

Tom, I don't know what the problem is but I can get the parts for you and send them to you. I have not had any problems getting parts from Emmons.

Well, you guys know how I feel about Emmons Guitars. I own four of them, and rarely ever play anything else.

Looks like you still have my old "Fat back", eh?
By the way, of all the steel guitars I've owned, I have to say it was was the best for staying in tune! I kept it in the back room at "Gabe's" for years while playing off and on there and I don't think I ever had to tune that guitar much. Come to think of it...I don't think I ever changed strings on it all that much either!
Nice collection of guitars.

I was curious about the age of my Emmons and I emailed Ron and he got back with me within a day.
This is my 1974 D10 "Fatback"

I ordered a new steel over a year ago, deposit and all, and can't get any answers out of anybody when it will be done or shipped. |

I know they are still in business, because I ordered a 4th pedal for one of my SD10's. Got it within just a few days. I've always had good dealings with the Lashley family. That could be because I have played an Emmons since 1981 - and I've never talked bad about them on the forum!! LOL Just kidding Y'all, no hate mail please |

Luke,
You might try sending Rebecca or Ron's mother in law, Bobby, some roses. Can't hurt! |

|
For years I've heard over and over about the 'demise' of the Emmons guitars but they keep going. As much as I love most steel brands including my '79 Zum and Rains, I'll always be partial to the Emmons steel guitars.
I may be old fashioned, but the Emmons and Sho Buds are the Gibson and Fenders of the steel world that most still try emulate today...it was a shame when we lost the great Sho-Bud company and would be equally a shame if we ever lost the great Emmons steel company.
Nick R...there you go again making me drool and lust after all those great Emmons pictures...and that goes for you to Erv! HA HA |
