Hi, I have a 70's Shobud professional. The E string on the C6th neck is buzzing, sounds like a zitar. I have smoothed out the bridge with emery cloth but it is still doing the same thing. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi,I got the same instrument, time ago I had the same problem. You have to take the nut off and put heavy grease behind it( Bobby Seymour recomend to do that every time you change strings).Other thing you can do is change your plain string and use wound or semi wound strings, but the problem is in the bad lubrication,i'm sure that's the solution for your Sho Bud.Regards

David,
You might try loosening that string, and rotate the roller 1/2 turn, also what Ariel said may work ( a good rule is to keep everything that moves lubed ). Also check the gauge of the string, it may be too small. If you remove the roller set...don't get them mixed up.
