I had a great time last night. We did about an hour show earlier in the evening that got all the cobwebs out of the way. Darrel is always a blast to work with. After the show I felt like we had just played together yesterday, but it was over 10 yrs since we played together. Joe I'll email you.

Richard,
We finished up at 12:00 midnight in Indiana and slung cords, amps, speakers, mic stands, and guitars into the trailer and were loaded out by 12:55 a.m. We jumped in the van and turned on the radio. WSM was coming in loud and clear.
It was a great show with great music! The lead instruments and vocals had a nice mix (I've heard the Midnight Jamboree on more than one occassion when it didn't). I think everybody turned in an outstanding performance.
Ray, Darrell, & Robyn turned in excellant vocals on some of Faron's hits. Those were big shoes to attempt to fill. I admire each ones talents and efforts.
The Country Deputies done The Singing Sheriff proud!!
I sure hope the powers that be at the Midnight Jamboree see there way clear to make this an annual event. |
