Does anybody have a picture of their Emmons D11 along with a picture of the keyhead. My friend Hank used to have one and we were discussing the subtle differences in the guitars. If you have any pictures of your D11 would you please post them here or email them to me. My friend was telling me there were some difference in the 11's versus the 12's.

Bernie Watruba used to have one. My understanding is that it was 11 strings on a 10 string spacing. |

Jerry,
Do you remember Hank Eldridge? He mentioned you name and I believe he bought Bernie's guitar when Bernie got a new one.

I believe the Emmons D-11 formerly owned by Bernie and Hank is now in the hands of Chas Smith-My understanding is that only three of them were ever made-CHAS CHIME IN |

Hi-Jerry
I sure would like to learn "BOUR'EE" (Jethro Tull) the way you play it on C6TH
I did see Hank and Bernie in St Louis this year at Scotty's show |

My good friend in Houston area Leonard Wolff, who died several years ago, had a custom built D-11 p/p Emmons. It had an E13th with the standard F# Eb top strings and a chromatic version of C6th. He tried to sell me the guitar several times, since I could play this guitar with no modifications. After he died, I do not know who has this guitar now, maybe someone in Houston area? It was a beautiful blue laquer maple wood.
Thanx,
Jim |

My mistake (first one today!!). Leonard's guitar was a D-12 Emmons not a D-11 as I wrongly said, sorry.
He and I had collaborated a lot on a D-11 tuning set-ups but never had one built.
Thanx,
Jim |
