About four years ago, I took my 1970 push-pull apart to clean it up; I'm just now getting it put back together. I think one reason I waited so long was that I dreaded encountering any problems, even though I took very detailed notes and took some photos of the (mostly) still-assembled undercarriage. Well, I just encountered my first problem...that I know of. I have installed all the cross-rods with no real problems until I reached the very last one. Could someone be so kind as to email me a good picture of the assembled RKL lever (mine raises E9 String 1 a whole step).
Thanks in advance,

There wasn't any way that I could see to send attachments through this e-mail system, so I'll put a couple of mine up here...
Mine doesn't do what yours does - my RKL is my E-lower - but hopefully this helps. Is there anything more specific you need to see? |

This may or may not help, but I use two RKL's, and here's the best picture I have of my arrangement.

MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, a restored MSA Classic SS, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro. |

Thanks, fellas. The crossrod on mine had too much play in it, and it caused the bellcranks to want to tangle up in the small rods from the changer springs. Anyway, I put a spring in the hole that accepts the crossrod and fixed a bushing at the other end so that the crossrod wouldn't slip back and forth. So now I can advance to my next problem...as soon as I find it. |

I used the Emmons book written by Clem Schmitz. You can get it direct from the Emmons guitar company. _________________ Bob |
