I have several 30 minute recorded television religous programs on vhs tapes and was wondering what is the most "simple to operate" system to copy them to DVD's and what format do they need to be to play in most all dvd players ? I assume they need to run through a tv to monitor the copying ?? maybe not. I will not be editing anything. I assume it will be a slow "real time" process that needs to be baby setted ? I am willing to buy what ever needed but have no idea what's available and the easiest approach. All ideas appreciated. Thanks, Bill. |

Bill,
The setup I use is pretty easy. I purchased an inexpensive DVD recorder from Wal-Mart and simply plugged my VCR directly into it. The instructions with the box should show you how to hook it up. My DVD recorder came with the connection cables and everything. I can watch the video on my television while it is recording to DVD. Its the easiest way I have found so far. _________________ Emmons Lashley Legrand D-10 8-4 &

Thanks Josh---That's one way. I was hoping there might be a way to run them and not have to set and watch or be there I'll try your suggestion if needed. Thanks again |

Bill, most DVD recorders have a timer setting where you can set it for the length of your desired recording. |
