I have a Carver PM 300 Magnetic Field amplifier 100 watts a side that we used in our band for stage monitors and it worked great in that regard. Since I retired from playing out it's stored and I was wondering if these amps are designed specifically for musical amplification only, or if they will also work "properly " for hi-fi stereo listening ? I don't have a stand alone preamp or I could a/b it with my receiver.
Carver is out of business so i can't ask them .
Any info appreciated.

I don't know about that particular model, but Carver did make some very nice hi-fi stereo equipment that used the magnetic field technology.
