A friend brought over the National in the attached picture. It appears that the pick-up has been changed, but works well. A clue that it's old is the cloth-wrapped input cord coming right out of the guitar. I need your help folks please. George

That's a very early (1942-1947) National Dynamic. The serial number found on a little metal plate on the back of the neck will determine the year of manufacture.
