I wish!!! It is a neat tune with some darn fine steel parts.

Let me know if you find it...some great speed pickin' lessons are in that song as well.

The only song I know by that title was a guitar and sax instrumental in 1960.
Never heard of a steel one. Confused

Don, it was a tune by Whispering Bill. I think Sonny Garrish played on it.

Craig,

I think that Donna Hammit has it on her website..if not if you contact gher she could TAB out some really cool parts.

Maybe even Mike Johnson.. he played that for Bill for like 16 yrs...

just some ideas...

Tim I tried Mike and didn't get a response, but then he is a busy guy. I might try Donna.

I'm pretty sure it was Hal Rugg that played on most of his big songs...including Wild Weekend.

So Casey do you have tab for it? That is the reason for the posting and not to argue the identity of the steel player.

Craig,

Sorry for arguing about the steel player...my reason for doing so is the fact that if it is indeed the legendary Hal Rugg...people who are familiar with his style could probably tab it out with ease.

If you could email some of the people who are great at tabbing stuff out an mp3 of the song, I'm sure they could tab it out.

I remember it as having a lot of the speed-pickin' in it...my c.d. of it got stolen when someone broke into my vehicle & took a ton of classic country cd's.

Good luck in finding the tab...I've been looking around for it for awhile.
