I posted this a few months back but decided to get it all fixed up before dealing it. Got several replies at that time.. It is a Yamaha SA 15 semi hollow.. A VERY cool looking guitar.. Really unique and unusual shape...
Has a Bigsby style trem on it.. 2 pickups, zero fret ,plays beutifully with no dead spots,NO buzzing.. action is low and soft, neck is perfectly straight with NO fret wear .. looks like it was never played....
It had a small hairline crack in the neck heel which I had glued and clamped by a luthier locally. It affected NOTHING, but I wanted to fix any issues before dealing it.
I also replaced the pickup selector switch.
The guitar has a gash on the lower bout that was repaired long ago, but affects nothing and you have to look to find it.. The guitar otherwise is in very nice cosmetic shape... Shines like a new penny. has just a small scratch here and there and a repaired crack in the pickguard.
Comes with original hard "coffin" case.
I can probably ebay it in the 275-300 range, but I can use a bass of similar value like a MIM Fender, decent MIJ bass of some kind or similar... May consider any other gear also... This series semi hollow was made in Japan by Yamaha from 68-72, and they are very rare today, especially in good playing condition... bob |
