Yesterday I got the chance to meet Michael Douchette and hangout with him for a few hours here in Wichita.
If you haven't met him, you're missing out. He's gotta be one of the nicest people you'd ever meet & he's pretty darn funny too!!! Of course, he's a darn fine player & he makes playing the steel & getting fantastic tone look easy.
If we were all half as talented as Mikey D, we'd have alot of mighty fine players.

He played my Pro-1 the other day & made it sound beautiful!!! I'll probably spend the rest of my life trying to get it to sound that good. You would have had to been there to believe it...he made that Sho-Bud sound like a million bucks!!!

Have you ever noticed that some people who post on the Forum have a knack for conveying honest, heartfelt information, have the credentials to make it extremely noteworthy, and can do it in a manner that's entertaining? That's what I see in every post from Mikey. Glad you're here, and thanks for posting! |

Casey, I just saw this thread. Thanks for the kind words. I sincerely do appreciate it.
All of you, thanks for just making me feel welcome here. b0b has done a wonderful thing, giving us a place to hang together and share valuable ideas and have great discussions. I will try to continue to throw in tidbits along the way as I can, hopefully some of them helpful and instructive, some of them inquiring, and some of them totally, uselessly ridiculous... the latter being what some would argue is what I do best. I hope, along the way, that I get more opportunities to meet as many of you personally as I had with Casey. He's a good guy, indeed; not all of us would be so agreeable and gracious to someone else sitting at our guitar. Thanks again, Casey. _________________ Mikey D... H.S.P.

As Michael likes to say... you're making him blush, ya know.
Okay, now I'm going to get my copy of Vern Gosdin -- The Voice for my morning commute. _________________ HagFan
