Years ago someone gave me a Lani McIntire Hawaiian
Song Folio which I never really paid too much attention to until today. I chose to play this
song as I wanted music with nice chords and
one I could play with out of meter. Maybe some of the HSGA members may remember this?
I do it on my D8 Gibson Consolette using the
E Nine Six non pedal tuning.
Hawaii, a beautiful land and beautiful musical history.

Roy,
This is a very beautiful song and it reminds me of the sound that drew me to steel guitar many years ago. I am a new forum member and I have spent the past couple of weeks reading previous posts and threads on lap steel. Do you still have course material for the Leavitt tuning? I would like very much to study your material if it is still available.
Again, I can listen to this and feel the love you have for the instrument and the music. Great job. Thank you for posting these beautiful songs.

Hello Therman,
Thank you for the nice remarks. You are right...
I do love to play Steel Guitars or any guitars
for that matter.
I do have material for the Leavitt Tuning available
and also for the E Nine Six tuning that I used on
this MP3.
You are welcome to email me along with others
